Search Lincoln County Traffic Court Records
Lincoln County court citation lookup and online payment run through Idaho iCourt and the official iCourt payment flow. The county also accepts phone payment through Lincoln County District Court at (208) 886-2173, with a credit or debit convenience fee, and mail payment to Lincoln County Court, 111 W. B Street, Suite C, Shoshone, ID 83352. In-person questions go to the District Court counter at the same courthouse suite.
Have the citation or case number ready before calling or paying. If neither number is available, party-name lookup with date of birth may work in iCourt, but the court clerk is the better source when there are multiple matches or a mandatory appearance note.
The iCourt route can be used for many eligible infractions and payable misdemeanors. It is not available for every case. The state payment guide says online payments cannot be made for cases in collection status, mandatory-appearance cases before the appearance, or sealed cases. Juvenile cases, misdemeanors, and felonies may be payable only after the initial appearance and after fees have been assessed.
- Open iCourt and choose the public case or payment search path.
- Search by citation number, case number, party name with date of birth, business name, or driver's license if that number is on the court case.
- Verify the citation or case number, file or citation date, name, and balance before payment.
- If the citation requires a court appearance, contact the court instead of trying to pay early online.
- For contested citations, follow the court process and do not ignore the appearance or payment deadline.
Lincoln County Traffic Court Venue
Traffic cases in Lincoln County are handled in Idaho's unified trial court system. The Magistrate Division handles infractions, many misdemeanors, and traffic citations. The District Court is still the county trial court structure, but everyday traffic case processing usually sits in the magistrate-level work described in the State Court Structure Map.

Lincoln County Citation Fields
The iCourt payment guide provides the practical search fields for a traffic citation lookup. Citation number is the cleanest path when it is available. Party-name lookup requires more identity detail. Driver's license lookup works only if the driver's license number is attached to the court case.

| Case Number | Text | Conditional | Use the full case number, such as the formats shown in the iCourt guide. |

Lincoln County Traffic Record Fields
A traffic court record is a case record. It can show the citation, charge, date, court, plea or denial, hearing activity, disposition, fine, costs, payment plan, and case status. It does not replace the state driver record that employers, CDL users, or drivers may need for license history.
| Field | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Citation or Case Number | The number used to identify the traffic case or payment record. |
| File or Citation Date | Date the citation or case entered the court system. |
| Party Name and DOB | Identity data used for lookup and verification, not always shown in full public copies. |
| Charge or Infraction | The alleged traffic offense, count, or payable misdemeanor language. |
| Hearing Date | Court date, time, hearing type, and court location when scheduled. |
| Disposition | Whether the charge was paid, denied, dismissed, amended, convicted, or otherwise resolved. |
| Financials | Fine, court costs, balance, payment plan, minimum due, and transaction fee when shown. |
Pay or Contest Lincoln County Tickets
Payment is available through iCourt for eligible cases, by phone through Lincoln County District Court, by mail to the court address, or in person at the courthouse counter. If the citation is marked mandatory appearance, if the case is sealed, or if the matter is in collection status, online payment may not be available. A defendant who denies an infraction is set for a court trial under Idaho traffic process guidance.
Failure to pay after notice can lead to Idaho Transportation Department license suspension. Payment plans or deferred payment agreements may be available in some cases, and Idaho Court Data references a $2 fee per partial payment in its example. The court should be contacted before assuming a payment will cancel a hearing, recall a warrant, or resolve a mandatory-appearance ticket.
Important: Paying a traffic case can affect court status, but driver-record effects belong to ITD and may not update instantly.
Lincoln County Traffic Access Laws
Traffic case access is governed by Idaho court-record rules and public-record principles. Idaho Court Administrative Rule 32 governs access to court records in the unified court system. Idaho Code section 74-102 creates the general public-records access rule for public agencies, while Idaho Code section 74-105 protects certain exempt law-enforcement and confidential records.
For traffic records, the usual path is public iCourt information first, then courthouse kiosk or clerk request for documents from a court case. Lincoln County court records requests go to courtclerks at lincolncountyid.gov. Records involving juveniles, sealed cases, protected personal identifiers, or restricted documents may not be fully public.
Court Traffic vs Driver Records
The court traffic record and the Idaho driver record are different files. The court record explains what happened in a citation or traffic case. The driver record explains the driver's license history and status kept by ITD. Use the court for case payments, pleas, hearings, and copies. Use ITD for license status, driving history, suspensions, or CDL/employer needs.
The ITD driver records and suspensions page is the state source for driver-history requests and fees.
That state source supports the fee and identifier rules for driver records, which are separate from the Lincoln County court case file.

Idaho Driver Record Search
The Tyler Idaho online driver license record search provides the paid online DLR path.
The Tyler portal is useful when the need is a printable Idaho driver license record rather than a copy of a Lincoln County traffic case.
The Idaho DMV driver status check is a separate status form.
That status form uses first name, last name, date of birth, and either driver's license number or Social Security number.
CDL DUI and Record Limits
Commercial drivers may need more than the court docket. ITD driver record information notes that CDL employer information can provide complete driver license history beyond three years. DUI or DWI cases do not remain a simple traffic-record issue; they route through criminal-case handling, with court events, prosecutor filings, possible conditions, and sentencing issues. See Lincoln County criminal court records for the broader criminal file.
Sealing or shielding traffic-related criminal records depends on the record type. Idaho Code section 67-3004 addresses certain nonconviction criminal history records and fingerprints. Idaho's Clean Slate Act may shield eligible criminal records after sentence completion rules are met, but shielding does not destroy every government record and may require court action. Juvenile traffic or criminal matters can also have special limits.
